I highly recommend this DVD both for veterinarians and for veterinarians to offer to bird owners at the time of their bird’s first examination. It gives entertaining and credible coverage of points that are typically included in any well bird examination.

Captive Foraging ‘…this video should be part of all new bird owners libraries as well as a must “prescription” for feather pickers…’
I purchased the Captive Foraging video at AAV and have watched it. I think it is excellently put together and both brief enough as to not overwhelm clients but also deep enough to provide useful tasks. Dr. Echols presents a few topics and then will summarize with written and verbal bullets. Everything is demonstrated with a real patient. In my opinion, this video should be part of all new bird owners libraries as well as a must “prescription” for feather pickers. It can be used in the waiting room or exam room as well. I am having my staff watch the video to make sure they are familiar with the concepts to help teach clients.
